Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first performance. The actress struggled for the role she wanted in Starship Troopers. In the beginning, it was difficult for her to switch from modelling to acting. The reason is that most models aren't good actors. In the majority of cases, they're assigned small and insignificant parts. However, Amy refused to give up and began to take on larger roles, beginning with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform larger parts. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been looking for more than a decade. Then she continued to appear in several of the most famous films including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played a recognizable character.
