Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's first memories of attending rehearsals for play and watching her mother's her job. Anna was a part of numerous commercials in her early years. Anna was transferred to Toronto in November 1999 to further her acting career. She eventually settled down in Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna has since converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renew their vows in an Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was highlighted by CNN's most popular TV Couples in the history of television and was named top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. The show's success resulted in Anna growing a substantial audience on social networks.
