Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. She was born in New Jersey's Passaic to Asalia Nazario and aridio Saldana. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father was Dominican. Her family relocated to the Dominican Republic at the age of 10, where they'd spend the next seven year. Zoe began to develop a fascination to dance while in the Dominican Republic. She started her training with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy and was there to learn ballet as well as other types of dancing. While her education did offer a great outlet for the energetic and enthusiastic youngster but it also proved as a great prelude to her acting career. Zoe and her family emigrated home to America with Zoe at the age of 17. United States with Zoe at 17 and her interest for the arts of dance and theater increased. Zoe not only has held her own but also earned recognition from famous actors like Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom.
