Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an writer, journalist, TV host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. She emigrated to Greece to England aged 16 where she earned an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the famed debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. A conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. Arianna was able to attract several prominent contributors who posted their views on culture and politics. Arianna gained fame after she decided to stand as an independent Candidate for the California Recall Election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Alongside that, she led an initiative in Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient vehicles. Forbes listed her 12th in its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her head of its media division and also included several other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli the other, both of whom are management consultants and journalists.
